Papa Dieye
About
I love the law and justice. I love going to court for a hearing and trial before the judge or jury. I get excited, anxious, nervous before a trial. I want to make sure that all I have been dotted and all t's crossed. I hardly sleep the days leading to a final trial. I will meet with my clients to prepare them well. And yes I have met many of my clients at home on Saturdays or Sundays. This is why I am a lawyer.
One time, we had a hearing dealing with possession and access to a little girl. I knew my opposing attorney as I had worked with him before. On the day of trial, I hand him all my exhibits and other paperwork. He took a look, turns to his client, and says: this is why I love Papa Dieye. Always prepared and ready to go.
The preparation and being ready matter not only to me, it matters to the judge and to the other party. We are not all about litigation. We also actively encourage and work with our clients to find ways to resolve the dispute. Sometimes, that is through mediation, arbitration, or informal settlement talks. Because, when it is all said and done, it is their lives, their children, and their money.
At the end of a case, whatever the result may be, we take great pride in knowing that we prepared well, fought hard, and used all available legal remedies at our disposal. And I truly believe that our clients appreciate that.
